Slightly nervous to get into this, as the reviews I’ve seen so far have been less than stellar.

This is definitely the more savage and less romanticized side of boyhood that isn’t as often portrayed or discussed in media.the cruelty of the boys towards piggy is insanely accurate and almost too uncomfortable to read. Hits too close to home.

This book will be my fist five star read. I can’t put it down. It’s a masterpiece.

I relate on a level w her regarding womanism but I’m not beautiful nor conventionally attractive so I find her problems to be….boring..maybe?? I’m not sure yet. But interesting none the less to hear from the other side.

Ever is a long time. But the boy knew what he knew. That ever is no time at all.

I’m trying not to rush through these last 60-ish pages, but having seen the movie and limited series a number of times, it’s very hard not to. Austen’s writing is witty though sometimes long-winded. Not off-topic usually, but will occasionally stray to “unimportant” topics.

Austen is an amazing writer bc I do, truly, feel absolute boredom in Mr.Collins presence
