why do i always put myself in these kinds of situations??

i can't stand this book buttttt i'm nearly done studying it so i'm *EXCITED*!!!!!!

reading this for ✨school✨, as per usual :')

the writing is REALLY meaningfull and interesting but i just... hate it.

i'm stuck in this kind of ~reading slump~ where i REALLY want to read but i can't get into long books because of 🤢school🤢 and i don't have anything else to read so i just stare at dune on my shelves and end up picking up random classics i have no real interest in... 😔💔

um well i didn't know this book was written as a correspondence and i'm usually not a huge fan of letters in classics (humhumLadySusanbyJaneAustenhumhum) soooo i guess i'll just see how it goes...
i want to go out and find ya books rn, i'm tired of re-reading middle grades and classics that i have no interest in whatsoever 😡😡

i can't read 'dune' anymore because school is SO HARD and it's the kind of book that i can't only read three pages of a day, yk?
so i'm settling on a comfort re-read to make sure this term doesn't turn into a ✨reading slump✨... 😭😭

i really thought i could read rule of wolves without having to go through the sobs that Nina's chapters prompted in this one, but i figured i wouldn't understand anything at all if i didn't re-read king of scars soooo... here i am!

re-reading this because i finally got RULE OF WOLVESSS YAYAYAYYYY!!!
i thought i could avoid the pain it's going to be to re-read the Nina chapters but i just opened ROW and realised i wasn't going to understand anything so... yay can't wait to sob through this book :)))))

the writing was really beautiful in the beginning but now it feels as though it has become super factual and a bit boring.... sad, sad, sad.

HAHAHAHAH– kill this man already.

according to my scientific mind, i am going to spend about 14 hours in total reading this. holy shit.

this is FUN!!
i'm slowly beginning to understand the story and to feel an emotional connection to the characters (even though it kinda pisses me off when someone calls each of them "the One")
so yeah, it doesn't feel too long for now and i'm enjoying it a lot :')

thoughts for now:
1) the plot is being thrown in my face and i don't really understand anything for now but i'm still confident that i'm going to love this book
2) not liking the chosen one trope that much, ngl

i've been hearing mixed reviews about this one... can't wait to get into it and judge it myself lol

i'm scared but ready to get traumatised (yet again)

i hadn't updated my status until now but this anthology is SO GOOD!! it's really accessible (even for my peanut brain) and the poems are (nearly) all *chef's kiss*!
i'm taking my time with this one - since it's poetry and i personally find it difficult to properly absorb so much poetry in one go - but i'm loving so far! :')

i'm living for the dramaaa -

it's the fact that i scream "NIKOLAIII" every time i read the word "ship" for me—
obsessive behaviour.

yes this is the third book i've started today, but since it's the only one that isn't a classic i've got a nice little excuse...
also, kinda feeling like a girshaverse readathon is the best option at this point, sooooo let's get started, i guess?

(p.s.: i'm really scared i'm gonna hate this but OH WELL nikolai is in the second book so he'll encourage me from siege and storm onto ruin and rising lol)
