I just really hate that every character (except Lauren, kind of) already knows exactly what happened. That's just not a good mystery novel. If it was going more in a "everyone remembers that day in wildly different ways so whose recollection is actually accurate?" kind of direction I would maybe be interested but I'm just annoyed.
