Ugh. I've been considering DNF'ing this one for a while, but a conversation about someone getting an abortion a week after unprotected sex seals the deal for me, cringe-wise. I'm going to stop reading this before my eyes get permanently stuck in the back of my head.

I guess I'm going to keep torturing myself wit the audiobook since I've already started and I hate not taking advantage of a free trial. I will not know a thing about this book when I've finished listening.

Here we go with a convoluted plan to kill the enemy in the most theatrical way possible instead of taking any of the literal million opportunities while they're bound and defenseless in front of you.

Urgh, why wasn't the first half of this book as good as the second half has been so far?! Glad I didn't actually DNF this like I thought about doing.

Haven't read this since I was a kid and I was worried it wouldn't live up to my memories but if anything it's better.

Well that was short lived. I'm giving up on audio books. I have no idea what's going on or who half the characters are because I can't follow anything. Will snag this when it comes up on bookbub again because what I can grasp seems really good.

If Deza was a real person whose music I'd listened to I might be a little bit interested in this. As it is, I'm just sitting here like why should I care about any of this? There's no tension and nothing happening, it's just her day-to-day on tour.

It's losing me a little. I want to like it but could something happen please? So far this is kind of just a catalogue of Deza's thoughts as she starts her tour.

Can't decide if I want to read this as quickly as possible because I don't want to put it down, or as slowly as possible because I don't want it to end.

This hooked me right away and I really like Deza as a character so far.
