Ok. I now know what kind of book this is, so that will make it easier ti read. Some of the stories are not that bad actually. However, I would rather this had been a novel than a collection of shortstories.

Hmm. The problem. Writing a story where every chapter jumps 30-50 years into the future. This feels more like an Encyclopedia than a science fiction novel. Perhaps that is what Asimov was hoping for. Not me, though.

I've been wanting to read this like... forever. And now I am on my way. A Good start.

Too many perspectives... but its still great to get some more information about the Elderlings and Kelsingra... after this series I shall be ready to return to Fitz and the Fool and understand even more...

I could be wrong, but it feels like this book has more perspectives than the previous two... but the character I look forward to hearing more about is without a doubt... Kelsingra.

Wow, where did the barrenlands go? We were there and then... Suddenly it was gone.

I need the book to change... soon. Too much of the same, travel and talk about the old king's death...

Slowing down, too much travelling and talk, and too little character development, the idea of the spells are still awesome, though

Well, classic fantasy, with a few oool twists, like the weird spells that wander the realms... Ehren is cool, but the rest are fairly archetypical.

Is there a plot? I doubt it. Still amazingly wonderful.

Unique. Poetic. Weird. Amazing. And I've only just begun. Promising.

With the 3rd book, the story takes a very unexpected twist that reminds me a little of another book I read not too long ago... it is yet to be decided if it is a desireable twist.

This book has gotten me really excited about sci-fi again! I love the element of exploration, but there is also a very personal story here, about two friends.

I have reached the second book and was surprised to read that it takes place 50 years in the future... with the children of the first book. Pleasantly surprised.

Yep, I've been struggling the last couple of days to find a book I really wanted to read. I think I've finally found it. This one is surprisingly dark and not just your average sci-fi book.

I like what this book promises... a City under the Sea. But the book needs to be worthy of Verne to deliver on its promise.

Dickson can definitely write, but the first two stories have not impressed me that much.
