similar to earthlings a bit, but honing in on a particular philosophy

she intellectualizes her feelings with scientific anecdotes. it kinda reads like poetry so there's a lot of interpretation required, and i think that's why it's easy to find this boring if you don't have the energy to interpret

idk if i should keep reading this. its trying to say something but also trying to insert jokes. its like touching up on something deep but pulling back. i think its because it's meant to be light hearted, but to me, a book should explore and go deep, otherwise whats the point of 200 pgs? i do understand her quarter life crisis, with not knowing what she wants, but wish it went a bit blunt and deeper.

also i understand that she has low self esteem so she thinks she doesn't deserve her very nice boyfriend, but she doesn't know what type of monsters are out there, so she doesn't know the good deal she has

an engineer definitely wrote this book. that's how elementary the writing is. jk, i'll just pretend it's a stylistic choice
