Wow, I did not know what I was getting myself into with this book, or else I probably wouldn’t have read it and definitely wouldn’t have put it on Goodreads.😂 Mediocre writing, weird disturbing plot, but an interesting twist at the end that makes it feel slightly less of a waste of time. Overall not a big Colleen Hoover fan, but this was at least engaging. Brace yourself for some very graphic scenes.

I got halfway before it was taken off audible. I won’t rate it since I didn’t finish, but my impressions so far: I’m surprised this has such a high rating. There are a few interesting observations, but a lot of it is either blatantly obvious or a real stretch. There is very clearly an anti-Rowling agenda here. I might finish it eventually to see what the high ratings are about but so far, not worth a read.

It’s very rare that a decade-later sequel/prequel to a series is any good at all, but this one was fantastic! Very similar to Catching Fire if you liked that one from the original trilogy. Will definitely read again.
