Some of this book is physically painful, but boy is the pay off worth it. You just forget how bad this book can be when the romance starts.

I get whiplash from how quick these characters go from cute and considerate to angry and insulting.

Carols so hot and cold it's so odd. One minute she'll barely acknowledge Therese's existence, the next she's her best friend.

Chapter 4 was much better than the previous one. I knew Amazon was evil, but goddamn. He sold me on using big data as planning then had me against it in the same chapter.

Chapter 3 was a lot more confusing than the first and second chapter. Couldn't learn too much from it and didn't really dive deeper into why corporations can't use internal market systems like the end of chapter 2 promised.

God this book is either painfully annoying to read or beautifully written and romantic. There's no in between. These characters are the most unlikeable that you still want to get together.

I finally know what the ECP is. And he explained it in a way that makes sense. Loving this so far.

Interesting and insightful so far. Also the language is easy to understand and actually interesting to read so that's a major plus.

Reading Mutual Aid Amongst Ourselves now. I wonder how much this section holds up today in the west. I know a lot of people don't even know their neighbours. Are we still helping each other now like they did back then?

God, Abby's a great character. Her and Carol have chemistry, their conversations aren't awkward and Abby has an actual personality. If this book was about their relationship maybe I'd enjoy it more.

Have learned a lot. Humans aren't individual selfish animals. Throughout our entire history and even today we always go back to our social nature. We're wired to help each other. Very interesting hearing about the first labour unions too. They were treated even worse back then than now.

Couple thoughts so far. Therese is unnecessarily mean. What's with her and calling random people ugly? Carol and Therese also have zero chemistry but Therese has already fallen in love with her. There's some really beautiful prose in here though and it definitely has its moments where Therese and Carol aren't being super awkward and can actually connect.

Carol and Therese have finally met. Therese is so smitten omg. It's cute.

Idk why Therese is so mean to poor Ms Robichek. She's been nothing but nice to Therese. Calling her ugly and a hunchback dungeon keeper? Wtf?

Rereading this as well so went back to the chapter talking about mutual aid among indigenous people. It's incredibly insightful. The misconceptions Europeans had about the indigenous is immense. They worked together and protected their tribe and even other tribes as well. Certainly not the "savages", Europeans thought they were.

Rereading this since it's been a while since I read it and I forgot most of it.

This part about disclosure seems interesting. Seems like something that'll apply to me.

Read so much in one sitting. Can't put it down. It's incredibly interesting.
