I've powered through this today. It's incredibly good and keeps me glued to the page. The switching narratives are all equally interesting. I'm in love with it.

Interesting and better written than the first but I'm bored.

Damn nearly 70% through this book and were only just getting into the marriage. The description is such a massive spoiler it's ridiculous. You see this very nice seemingly man then know he's gonna find out she's black and try and kill her for it.

Wasn't vibing with it at first but getting really into it now. Love this heist. The writing is so much better and more consistent than the first book. No major cringy or corny parts yet. Though McNulty still has a fascination with parentheses (she uses them too much).

Really getting into this now. Especially loved the grimoire section. I could use a whole book with just that.

This book went from okay to actually good. Definitely a slow burn which I love. I'm genuinely enjoying it so far. Though the description was a bit wrong it still overall achieved what it set out to do so I'm happy.

This is decent so far. We're finally moving away from just horses into the romance. Hopefully it stays good.

Ari's annoyingness and inability to read the room EVER both makes this book painful and fantastic to read. Her annoyingness makes sense though. It's refreshing compared to the books I've been reading where characters are annoying for no good reason.

Wow this book just keeps getting worse. The beginning and middle had me teetering between a 3 and a 4. But il in so much pain and wanting to DNF it so bad it's between a 1 and a 2 now. Maybe a three if it makes a serious come back but I'm doubting it.

God I absolutely adore this book so far. First book I've read recently where I don't want it to end. I'm trying to savour it like a fine wine.

This is a fantastic book so far. I'm loving every minute of it. It's so suspenseful and has got me on the edge of my seat. So much fun. Definitely wanna read more from this author.

This book is a tad unrealistic imo. I feel like it'd be more impactful if it didn't just straight into the fascism the second he's elected. It being a more subtle thing where rights are taken right from under people without them realizing would be more realistic and impactful. I'd love to read a book like that and one that dives into why someone would join the minute men at all.
