Absolutely adoring this book…not at all what I expected, and it’s compelling me forward like all my favorite books do, unable to wait for the next page and next chapter.

Still massively enjoying this work, especially the deft touch the author has at conveying the experience of successful, well off African women, and how they deal with traditions and cultural structures that shackle them and erode their senses of self and of freedom.

Barely scratched the surface of this work, but already I’m in love with the writing…already a dozen sentences I want to underline or highlight.
