got halfway on a roadtrip in december and then put it down and didn’t pick it back up until now I CAN DO IT!!!

I’m much more invested than I was when I first tried to start this book, so that’s good

This book is so fricken thick but the premise sounds so gooood. Got this book for Christmas and I plan to finish it really soon hehe.

I was really excited going into this book but I spoiled a bit for myself by opening this damn site and snooping around... Completely my fault! But still, I'm feeling a bit discouraged. I hope I'll finish it.

I'm reading this so slow but I would rather read it slowly than force myself to blast through it and not remember anything.

Well. I'm not really invested yet. The start is slowww and while it isn't the slowest I've ever read, I'm not even sure what it is I'm reading for. (I am also just 65 pages in, so maybe I need to suck it up and push through?)

The writing so far provides very little of substance to me. It's way too many words with so little content.

So far I'm not too excited to keep reading this, but I will push through anyway.

So. The writing style is so enjoyable so far. It’s sort of reminiscent of books I read as a kid- a series of unfortunate events by lemony snicket and that sort. so nostalgic yet so new at the same time.

it’s magical in a sort of speculative fiction sort of way. just odd in the best way.

i severely underestimated her bc i didn’t like shadow & bone so i just thought i wouldn’t like anything else from her
but this is just. very good. the characters are so amazing and kaz is probably gonna be on my favorite characters of all time list by the time i end the duology.

Ooooooo the fact that I love this so early is so good. I have a feeling Kaz is going to be my favorite.

As I read more I don't find it... unenjoyable? I like it more than I liked Wayward Son, that's for sure. I hope I'll continue to tolerate it OR really like it by the end of the book :)

bro. 6 chapters in. idk how to feel? i can't tell if i absolutely hate this book or if i just hate it because i didn't like wayward son. i really only got this book because i'm attached to baz 3 i will continue to read for him lol

I’m so in love with this book. I shed like one tear so far from a mixture of anxiety for the story and just overall not feeling well. I love Evelyn Hugo as a character so much as well. To be honest I haven’t enjoyed a book this much in a long time.

As the story progresses there is subtle foreshadowing that I deeply appreciate too. I can’t wait to finish it!

i love evelyn so much. i cant even really put it into words what i feel about this book yet, but my feelings are good! captivated.
