bisher absolut nicht schlecht geschrieben und schon interessant eine Story zwischen zwei Menschen, die auf dem Buchrücken als “Liebesgeschichte” betitelt wird, mit häuslicher Gewalt zu beginnen. gleichzeitig beschleicht mich aber das stets auftretende Genervt Sein von der Tatsache, dass die aktuelle deutsche Literatur iwie nichts anderes zu bieten hat als innereren Monolog über Kindheit und Trauma..

„He ran like a tree that had been uprooted from its forest.“ girl what - there are like so many other possible comparisons to create the image of someone running very fast/ purposefully. Why on earth would you choose THAT? now I’m picturing a running tree with a guy‘s head 💀

absolutely love it so far, he really is a master of character and dialogue writing . It feels like Huckleberry Finn but with more horses and less water which works pretty well

ahhh it’s been ages since I’ve been so excited to read a book! The little hunger games fangirl that was created 10 years ago is thriving 🦅

The writing style was gripping, dense, vivid and funny. Very sharp and real dialogues that gave you a strong image of the characters after just a few pages. I also liked how the book left out lots of information, for example, if the father really is an asshole. BUT why did Jenny have to give up her career for the love story to continue ? Is it sexism or purposely left out information?

So many beautiful paragraphs/metaphors/allegories, I can’t stop highlighting things, my book is basically just yellow at this point.

Loving it so far, the writing style is amazing, esp. the narrator who seems to such an asshole but makes the reading experience even more interesting
