Too many statistics not enough story. Wanted to like it. Got really bored. Shame because the subject matter is fascinating

Love it. The characters are coming together. There are surprises. Beautifully written but easy and spellbinding

I don’t remember the last book I read in which I felt the setting so strongly. I have been seated in the boyarsky and stood on the roof of the metropol. An interesting book to read while quarantined. I feel the count’s malaise as well as his curiosity. The first fiction in a long time that has kept me engrossed. What happens with the prince? What’s in the hidden cabinet?
