Now that was a masterful chapter...

If I had to pick a top ten list of books, The Godfather by Mario Puzo would undoubtedly qualify in the top three. It's so good, accessible, complex characters, there's intrigue, and every word hits like a bullet from a gun.

Reading's been off lately... I've had a lot on my plate. But I'm back.

This book is fantastic! It is written in letter style, similar to Bram Stoker's novel: Dracula. It holds out Augustus's perspective and lets other historical and fictional characters, dares I say, judge Octavius's actions. Wow, it's so complicated and interesting

I've been switching many books because I can't understand the complexities, and it's getting harder to concentrate on reading. Then out of a strange pile of dark fiction, I find this gem. I hope it keeps its momentum.

Like the writing. The arguments though could be described better.

Let's revisit some of McCarthy's work. :)
