I've just had so many back to back mid, let down books I'm fighting for my life to get out of this reading slump. Its looking like imma have to graphic novel my way towards the ends of the year lolol (though maybe that's what's been missing all along)

I'm torn between liking this and desping the CONSTANT overly complex sentences ridden with parantheticl asides. I keep losing the tone because the sentences run on and on!! Too many fucking asides!!!

Essentially half-way through this book, she's married this man with whom she has negative chemistry and absolutely nothing of interest has happened. Lucky me!

This book really reminds me of death note LOL

My number 1 gripe with this so far is that there is no map!!! There are too many places being thrown about for there to be no map 😩

Ok im kinda pissed off now. This man is 57!!! She's like 17 MAX!!!! I don't know what is about black women of a certain generation but why do this?? She's basically got the hots for her dad. I'm mad. I hope this 🥷 dies LMAO. Get him OUT of my sight!!!
