Great start and so easy to get into. No idea where the story is going to go so far

God this book is a real struggle to get into and really care about what's going on. It seems very Assassin's Creedy so far with past lives being drawn out of Gene through memory

Some interesting stuff in this. Really enjoying it. Gobsmacked he didn't speak to Bobby Robson at all. The Terry Mac dressing up as a sheikh to come and buy him gag was genius.

Emlyn Hughes and Tommy Smith fell out cos Hughes told Paisley he was too slow at LB. Interesting!
Good stuff so far

Wow, this is fascinating. It's a book I've been given for nothing and is just so easy to read. I'm engrossed in it already. Tales of the New World fascinate me, especially when I've just read a book about Tudor England it's amazing to find out what the Spanish were doing around the same time

Absolutely love the writing and characterisation in this book. Forgot how good it was. Plot great too. 60 odd pages left and anything could happen

Finally stuff is emerging and the twists become more engrossing.

Breezy not so bright

Switch off, easy reading. Taken along for a Jimmy P breakneck speed ride. Not really brain food but it's a book I've been given, it would be rude not to

I'm really enjoying this so far. So much so that I'm finding myself swept up on the atmosphere and telling of the story. I'm drawn in so much that O wish I could devote more time to reading the story but can't at the moment. Sigh.

Loving these short stories. Too many about kids being taken away mind!
Loved the Underbury Witches one. One to the last one now. The Charlie Parker one - The Reflecting Eye. Looking forward to it.
