I want talking bananas now…

Halfway through Karsa’s story in Book One and I am enjoying it. Confused on the timeline but apparently that’s normal. Seems to be pre-Gardens though.

Finished Part One. Honestly had no clue what to expect going into this other than I know it’s Sanderson’s lowest rated book on Goodreads. So far, I am enjoying it enough. Don’t mind the humor and plethora of real world references too much, just hope they don’t get annoyingly repetitive. The premise is certainly interesting for this light-hearted fare.

Chapter 1 was a doozy in length. After hearing much about Karsa Orlong, I have encountered him and his origin story it seems. He’s… definitely not what I was expecting… I am intrigued!

Blood and bloody ashes! That was everything I hoped for!

Snakes and foxes… I’ve been waiting for this moment for all my life…

Pretty excited about this and, as always, have no idea what to expect. All I know is, 3 books in, it’s hard for me to imagine Erikson ever letting me down.

Finally my hardcover came in! I was least looking forward to this only because it’s the only non-Cosmere book of the secret projects but Sanderson is the man so I’m ready!

Wow. Being late to the Wheel of Time party, this is the first time I felt Robert Jordan’s loss so poignantly, sad even. These two chapters with Aviendha show what might have been had he still been alive. Would he have written more in the Wheel of Time universe? So many possibilities lost, but I would’ve signed up for it all…

I just… I have not been this blindsided since a certain Brandon Sanderson book left me speechless and in disbelief… what a finale we are in here…

Wow… now that was a crazy chapter to set up the final chapter. So much sadness and grief, so many game changing events. I am speechless already…
