So many books and authors that Gaiman is inspiring me to try...

'Reflections on Myth' & 'Books have genders' were, to me, a clarion call to anyone who thinks they have a novel inside that they need to get out.

One speech in and I am already enthralled. Gaiman's speech at the Reading Agency Lecture should be a rallying cry to librarians, an instruction manual to parents, and required reading for anyone who is going to teach English (especially those who don't really like to read themselves).

just finished the second book of the three in this election. the expiration of Wulfgar overcoming his alcoholism seemed a little bit trite, but believable. All in all, a good mesh of stories if a bit long for what happened

I like the use of "Watson's Letters" as a story telling device.

The Silent Blade is the last Drizzt story I read previously, and that only once. I had forgotten how dark the opening to the book was. Salvatore does, as many authors of fantasy forget, to look at not just the momentary action but at the long term psychological results of the adventures and misadventures of the characters.
