Wow, that was quite a surprise

I'm a litte bit shocked how much I had forgotten and it was definitely the right decision to do a reread of this one before starting "Hollow City"…

It's much cooler with these pictures than just listening to the audiobook version like I did on my first encounter with this book

This is so Hank Moody-like, it makes me want to watch Californication again :D

Niven's books are always fun. Lots of swearing :D

The second half was boring as hell...

This was more fun when I read it as a child :/

After the rather boring middle part I didn't expect such a good ending

I like the main character and how this is written, but there are quite a few "headdesk" moments :D

So this was my first Kafka. And probably my last.

Oh no, it's getting supernatural...

A man discovers that 50 years ago there has been a murder in the house he just bought and just because he's got the feeling the woman that was hanged for this crime is innocent (he doesn't have the slightest proof for this theory!) he decides to take a plane to France to talk to the secret lover of this wife (who is in his 80s now!) just to prove her innocence. Yeah, this plot totally make sense...

Liked the first hours but now it's really boring...

If I had to choose just one psychological thriller to read for the rest of my life, it would be this one. This book is perfect and it makes me almost cry that Fitzek didn't even get close to be that thrilling with his latest books and probably never will again.

I have no idea what this is about or why I bought it but after 2 years on my TBR pile this book has earned to be given a try :D

Never thought I would enjoy this time traveling stuff that much
