I’m interested to see where this will go, it feels very “Yankee in king Arthur’s court” so far

I love Gemmell’s work so much. There’s an economy of motion to the characters, they are succinctly written but so incredibly alive.

Good so far, this isn’t the first time time I’ve started it but before I got distracted by life so now I aim to finish it

I picked this up on recommendation from twitter, and I have to say it doesn't disappoint. There's a lot going on in this book and I'm absolutely hooked!!

I love drywall so much, many of the books were massive for me as a child and they hold up.today

I'm not real sure what purpose the ritual rape and murder of the human by Jannesta served other than to show capricious cruelty in a lazy manner, but I'm hoping it avoids more toxic tropes and continues building the characters.

I am terribly upset that I have to stop reading so I can sleep for work.

I'm exceptionally pleased that my closest of friends Ashley let me borrow this book. It is a fantastic read and I am loving the primary characters navigation of the brutal royal courts.
