It's not the city that's happy: Moscow is the name of the main character, an abandoned child named by the workers at an orphanage. The novel, written in the 1920s, is about her life. We'll see if she becomes happy or not!

I bought a copy for a friend, and decided to get one for me too. I read this book the first time several years ago and I think I'd give it 6 stars.

I will finish reading James Joyce's "Dubliners" when I find my copy of it. The half dozen stories I've read so far are really very good.

i misplaced my copy "Dubliners," so I started this book. It concerns North American soldiers fighting in Afghanistan and Colombia, and Colombian soldiers, guerrillas, paramilitaries, and narcos fighting in Colombia's civil wars and in Afghanistan.

The author, an Afghanistan veteran, is concerned with how the US use of military force is never-ending and taking place in many regions of the world.
