Lesson 30 - How sad it is to realize that peace can only be kept when the threat of violence greatly outweighs the gain of war.

Those who know they have enough are rich.

Knowing others is wisdom;
Knowing the self is enlightenment.

We need to know when to stop.
When the whole is divided, the parts need names.

One should have a great deal of respect towards their critics as they are engaged in altruism, harming their own self-interest by speaking truth to the power.

When one or two people dominate a discussion, others become disinterested.

If two people agree on everything, only one is doing thinking.

A good person is a teacher of a bad person. A good person is he who does good to the bad.

Just do your job and let go. That is the only way towards happiness.

Those who do not trust enough will not be trusted. To receive something, you first have to give.

To talk little is natural.

The state has the sole power of violence in a society. Where this is not the case, it becomes a failed state with independent gangs and militias running their territory.

The objective of the state should be to create a conducive environment wherein individuals are able to make free and independent decisions. The state should only come into the picture when there is a market failure.
