I used to steer VERRRRY clear of anything historical. Lately I've found I really like historical fiction. I always thought it would be super boring and way too different for me to enjoy. I've been pleasantly surprised. Times are a changin' in my book world.

I'm enjoying this book. It's very heavy. I didn't know it was WW2 based when I started but it's really good. My only issue is I'm human and come nowhere close to being able to read these German words.

Been mostly bored until now. Lots of eye rolling over the ridiculous "I'm rich, look at me," bullshit. Maybe it'll take off from here.

So if I thought things couldn't get any worse, joke's on me. I haven't even finished my antibiotics for strep throat and now I have a stomach virus. I've thrown up twice in the last hour. 😭😭😭 My son had it this weekend. I'm gonna listen to this book and have a breakdown. Likely with brief pauses for vomiting. Enjoying this book at least. *Crying uncontrollably*

I read book one about a year ago and loved it. I just realized I can listen to audiobooks on Spotify and found book 2. I'm so excited. I'm on chapter 2. Listening while I embroider. 🧵

Finally. Some well written romance. I've been reading a lot of trash romance and I'm so happy to finally come across something more in depth. It isn't straight to the "raunchy." Lololol. I like the angst and relationship building. Book foreplay? Idk. I like the romance in this is what I'm saying, okay?

I freeze to death every winter so I don't know if this book is making me freeze harder or if it's just my imagination. 🥶❄️

I tested positive for strep so I'm going to lay here and read. I was also reminded today that my social skills are absolutely awful.

I've been running a fever since Friday morning so reading about Antarctica while already shivering to death is intense.
