The lack of character development is really a sad waste of potential

The real story begins!

Sad ending but handled very well!

They’re leaving the mountain. Reality is setting in and their rose coloured youth is over. If I feel this attached already this story is going to hurt like everyone says.

The ending was very different to what I expected! Definitely love a story I can’t predict! Even though it wasn’t as dark as I anticipated it was full of danger due to the Rogarou mystery!

Loving the mystery in this!

Oh boy. Shit has hit the fan. Those dragon cross-breads with wolves and whatnot are terrifying to think of. The threat is real and lives are on the line. Deaths are stacking up and many will not survive this story. RIP but also I’m loving it!

There is a lot to learn quickly in regards to names, places, maps, hierarchical structures, and past wars but I think I’ve got it now! I am very much enjoying that the Queen in the West is trading threats with a Fire-Breathing Dragon while in contrast, the East lives in harmony with Water Dragons.

Okay, Brokilon is definitely more interesting in this version! Druids are fierce and wow, Ciri is way sassier! I am going to love her as this series progresses. What I don’t like is how actively Geralt is trying to avoid his Destiny.

Geralt and Jaskier get into all sorts of trouble with mermaids, sea colonies, and a female bard!

Geralt + Jaskier + Doppler = fun

Just domestic and drama moments for Geralt/Yennefer. Istredd shows up too and I think his parts with Yennefer make it into other episodes minus Geralt.

Dragons always make good stories. This one is once again different than the show but I almost like it better even though Geralt does next to nothing.

This section felt very much for the sole purpose of fleshing out Henry/Addie and Addie’s past marked with Luc’s attempts to win her over. I fear there is a ticking time bomb for Henry and my heart aches for Addie while I’m left with needing to know what happened in New Orleans!

My main thoughts on Part Four are just Henry and how my heart hurts for him 💔

This section was a little soul-crushing but so good! It felt like exploring all the most fragile parts of humanity. Schwab is performing a fantastic balancing act of the heartbreak Addie has gone through with the hope and promise of trouble Henry brings. Also, Luc is turning into the perfect villain and I'm so on board with his cunning cruelty.

Geralt is so much chattier.

That was a much darker rendition of Beauty and the Beast and I loved it!

Love the groundwork set for the story in this part! I'm entranced by Schwab's writing and loving the dynamic Addie has with each of the people who come and go in her life. I feel like Addie is someone I want to be but Henry is closer to who I actually am.

My love for this tiny book is infinite!

I just adore Schwab’s writing and really loved part one! I cannot wait to see where this story leads ❤️
