If I could give a character advice, I would tell them that Kaylee's Earth(our Earth) is at the bottom of the waterfall void. i would also tell them that there is another world like theirs in the Bermuda Triangle. I know this because of how Kaylee describes getting into the Dragon's Triangle and how Alex went around the Triangle world. Kaylee went from Earth, and went "up the waterfall" and into their world.

The moral universe for Artimé is very similar to the one that we are familiar with. There is freedom similar to the one we know here, and there are limits, like here. This is to contrast the gray land of Quill, where creativity is prohibited, and blindly following orders and instructions is taught. The standards of Grimere are not very clearly known, as it is a foreign land. It seems to be a mix of the two extremes.

The genre of "The Unwanteds" and many of their sequels was utopian and dystopian, with Artimé being a utopia, and Quill being a dystopia. There was also lots of fantastical elements, with magic and dragons and the like. The Unwanteds Quests focus more on the fantasy dragons, and less on Artimé. There is still a dystopia in the land of Grimere, but Artimé is shown as less of a utopia, as it descends into a civil war.

Daniel is finished with Captain America: Dark Designs
An archetype of this book is how the author differentiates between good and bad. In this story, the villain, Red Skull, is the Nazi leader of Hydra, brought back from his death in World War II by Dr. Arnim Zola cloning Captain America's body with the Skull's conscience. This means Captain America and the Red Skull look the same, except for the Red Skull's literal red noggin. They are the same, but one is evil.

Making connections to this book is extremely easy, as it is about a new virus that has never been seen before that could seriously endanger humanity. Captain America is forced to quarantine, and this came out in September of 2019. This is obviously connecting eerily to our current situation of the new COVID-19 virus. We all have to quarantine, but coronavirus is fortunately not as bad as his extinction-level virus.

This book takes place in the modern day, but it never says specifically when. It follows Captain America around the world, stopping the villainous Red Skull's World War II-age "Sleeper" robots from killing and destroying. But the patriotic Avenger is unable to fight them easily, as he is hindered by the mysterious, dormant, deadly virus no one has ever seen before.

While this book is nonfiction, it is still driven by something, in this case, the setting. This book takes place during the Great Depression, and much of what the characters do is driven by trying to make any money, any living that they can subside on.

The climax of this book seems to be the face off between Kendra and the Underking; it’s what the book had been leading to. Once she negotiates successfully with him, the resolution seems to be at hand and suddenly you’re thrown into a fight between Bracken and Ronan, pure and dark unicorns. Tension and emotions are higher than ever, right up to the end of the fight, when the resolution and falling action can begin.

This book is mainly a quest book, with Kendra setting out to find an object which leads to another object which leads to the Sunset Pearl. Meanwhile, Seth lost his memory and undergoes a rebirth plot as he quests for the Everbloom. My book is high fantasy because it mostly takes place in Blackwell Keep and the realm of the Underking. There are unicorns, fairies, dragons, and many, many more fantastic creatures. There is magic, quests, and heroes. However, this having been the 10th book in this universe, we can plunge into this amazing fantasy, and not question how or why.

This book takes place in modern age, in three different locations, then it is narrowed down to two currently. The protagonists are in Blackwell Keep, the Dragon sanctuary, trying to keep order. Seth Sorensen, the former protagonist, now brainwashed and clueless, is being trained as a shadow charmer in the Underking’s realm. We don’t know where that is, although it has been hinted that it is somewhere under the ocean.

Daniel is finished with The Tyrant’s Tomb (The Trials of Apollo, #4)
A significant moment in this story is when Frank sacrifices himself, burning the last of the stick that is tied to his life, to kill the evil emperors Caligula and Commodus. Apollo feels all of the guilt he felt when Jason died, except Frank miraculously comes back! When Reyna steps down as praetor, I was also surprised, as this was a defining moment for her. She became a Hunter of Diana, which is a good fit for her.

The conflict in this book is character vs self, but it appears as character vs. character. The evil emperors Commodus and Caligula are sailing to attack Camp Jupiter, and their ally Tarquinius with his army of undead former friends, but they are not the main conflict in the story. Apollo has to deal with his new mortal body, and the human emotions and feeling that go with it. He often doubts and is unsure of himself.

The Revinir, or Queen Eagala, is a very static character. She wants power, and nothing else and will stop at nothing to get it. She is the symbol of all evil, and has been for ten books.
Meanwhile, Frieda Stubbs went from a protestor voicing her (incorrect) feelings toward Aaron, to a power grasping monarch. She was a reasonable, yet irritating citizen, to an irrational, arrogant jerk. She is a dynamic character.

The author wrote this book to provide insight on Elon Musk and his life, future plans, and his past. This book was originally written as an adult book, but I am reading a toned down version for younger readers. Anyone interested in the amazing innovative entrepreneur is likely to read and enjoy this life story of Elon Musk.

The antagonist of this book is the Hassassin. He is hired by the Illuminati to destroy religion, and that is all we know of him. He plans to kill 4 catholic cardinals, publicly, branded, in churches, and at midnight, plans to destroy the Vatican with an antimatter bomb. At this time, all of the cardinals in the world are there, trying to pick a new pope. If the bomb goes off, the Catholicism would die, to his plan.

The tension in this book is caused by secrets and anticipation of conflict. The antagonist is a complete mystery: his motivation, name, and identity is very vague and unknown. The 3rd person limited narrator switches to the unnamed killer, and he keeps thinking about ‘his next move,’ insinuating an upcoming conflict, which even the readers don’t know about, causing speculation and tension.

So far in this book, the unsympathetic characters are the unnamed killer, and the man who goes by the alias “Janus.” Janus is probably a member of the Illuminati, and they hired the assasin to kill someone, no questions asked. The name Janus comes from Greek and Roman mythology, as the two-headed god of doorways, keys, beginnings, endings, and is usually portrayed and described as a not-kind god, but not evil.

This book is written in 3rd person limited. So far, the narrator is following Robert Langdon, and doesn’t know the thoughts or feelings of anyone else. The narrator knows the thoughts, wants, and feelings of Robert Langdon, so the narrator is limited.

The book is written from Theo’s point of view, and it is interesting to see his life at home, with his brothers, sister, and parents constantly telling him to quit magic and stick with music. He is conflicted, between his family and his friends, his second family, all with the talent show deadline approaching. Emily, his crush, also works to break up the Misfits for their safety, so he must make a decision.

I chose this book because I have read many books similar and relating to it, and even one based on it, so I really wanted to read it. The characters are hard to keep track of, though, and the events are just as difficult and confusing. It was sort of dry and not engaging and I couldn’t read much, as I didn’t want to very much.
