TFW your own personal mental state is so bad you have a panic attack over a fictional character and their mental state. My therapist makes a lot of money off my ass, that’s for sure. Az is lucky, and I’m deeply jealous of the support he gets from Quaid. That’s the real fiction here, ngl.

Whilst I'm loving Valor and Doyle even more than the previous books as well as the case Valor is working on, I have a problem with Valor new partner and junior detective. I understand being young and wanting to prove yourself and the challenges with being different, but it's grating the level of disrespect and also the need for Valor to cater to her especially in a situation that involves the safety of people lives.

The investigation is so interesting in this one! Aslan and Quaid’s dynamic is still amazing, I love them so much. This series is so so so good, I can’t recommend it enough!!
