Oh no, will I be tempted to buy this series just to read these?

Engaging and well-written. I’ve never read the Vicki Barr series before. While the qualifications for stewardesses are dated (1947) and inappropriate, Vicki and some of her friends are refreshingly bold, adventuresome career women, which is typical of these series—no wonder gills off the tone liked them!.
