'Homer maintains his direct link to God, as he continues to speak with him as the episode comes to a close...Homer's connection to God seems independent of his attending church.' I keep finding little gems of insight like this throughout the book, but the author doesn't dig deeper.

Will he ever stop writing things like, "in this section, I'll tell you this..." or "let us look at this now..."? His narrative reads as if he transcribed one of his class speeches. I love the idea behind this book, but this author is atrocious!
