Status Updates From Still Life with Woodpecker

sometimes i’m reading something and it’s just what i need, and this is it.

It is getting a little rambly now. I’m still invested in the plot, but the pace is kind of stalling here. The author even pokes fun at one point, saying this isn’t a fast-paced book… I enjoy some of the musings, but I am wishing we could stick to the story a little more here lol.

This is a really fun read. I love that it’s set in Seattle and Hawaii. (My current home and my old home) The characters are quirky and likable. I find all of Bernard’s outlaw wisdom really fascinating and I love how the princess has such a heart for doing good in the world. I enjoy finding ways to add whimsy into my day and this book has been doing that for me!
