May have over exaggerated a bit. I still dislike a handful of the essays, but there are also a handful in here that have aged wonderfully and that I very much do resonate with. The reviews were definitely right about the book being a mixed bag.

I was already well aware of just how normalised age gap relationships are in the queer community, but I'm not even a quarter of the way through and it's already heavily reinforced that belief for me. I honestly could not care if I'm being oversensitive because at least I can cope with having my queer identity be rejected by my parents like a normal person😭 You don't want partners, you want to be coddled.

THE CHAIR OF THE TRENR GESO DEPARTMENT HAS AN ESSAY IN THIS AND IT WAS AWESOME
