In Part 1, Pearcey “diagnosed the division of truth and the fragmentation of the human being.” She does a good job integrating secular society and the church and showing how they have interacted. She shows that these secular ideas have permeated the church. She shows specific instances in denominations where this has happened. I am excited to keep going into Part 2 of the book.

Good. There are recognizable themes and examples from Pearcey's other works which help tie everything together.
