I was mega bored by george orwells poor paris. couldnt even get to london. fred says the idea is the comparison of bureaucratic arrangements around poverty not poverty itself. so no one prefers london because it is not that youre only poor but youre confined and shut away from the rest of the city. maybe i will continue this later. unlikely
