Status Updates From The Fog

yikes immediately after my last update one of the infamous scenes from this book happened on kindle it is exactly at 21% itsa group sex scene possibly pedo but i guess that depends on your take on what "boys" are. its not terribly triggery althgough in the 70s it no doubt was. it involves this gay pervy creeper character who does some creeper shit yuck and yikes! can we go back to fog murder psychos please?

oooh la la! er got ourselves an ancient 1970s britisheuphemism for queer men "poof" lol i love blasts from the past like that. it wasnt used a slur or anything just in an internal monologue in passing, very typical of the 1970s and not offensive to me in 2026 it was just an amusing memory! great book the last few dozen pages have been a bit of an uneventful slog but there some subtle hints of creeping wrongness

well golly! i thought we were gonna get a salacious 1970s style book sex scene but it was a super tame breast cupping. acceptable and quickly moved on from bring on the fog insanity apocalypse, please! ;)

hmm what is going on with this insanity causing fog? it doesnt act or smell like fog and seems to creep and crawl over the countryside at random. were things different in the 70s when this book was written? the one character casey has what in 2026is kind of an "incest coded" relationship with her father. its odd jt nothing explicit just waaay more affectionate than we usually are today.

omg just when i thought it was going into warren ellis' murder zombie territory from the titular fog, something hilarious happened. i was surprised and actually LOL'd! great book so far!

ok this book seems nice and even quaint, from go. but then by 5% i feel like its about to turn into that torture porn comic black gas in book form. based on reviews it doesnt seem like it will but the similarities are there already. i'm excited already.
