There are actually 880 pages in this book. Hoping to finish this weekend. Been great so far.

Long winded really the last 20+ pages were fluff - editors are undervalued this book could easily have been shorter

Finally making real progress. It is very good, really like a lot of the characters.

This is like watching a soap. But as I love my soaps - Emmerdale, Corrie and Enders - it's all good.

This book is 881 pages long so I guess it will take me awhile. So far so good.

It has taken me about a year to read this book on and off and I still have not got into it. I hate to leave a book unfinished but I'm giving up on this one. It's very slow going and there are so many characters I keep forgetting who is who.

Taking too long to read

Finished it. I found it very hard to get through it ad was far too long. Not my kind of book.

Just started disc 6 of 28. Listening on my commute. Very Sidney Sheldon-esque.

Decent plot, but cheese-n-rice it's so long.

My copy has 881 pages - This will be like twilight...i'll pick it up now and again as tbh i don't think i'm going to enjoy it.

This is the book that never ends....but at this point I won't quit, it's a matter of principle now

Found this at the BB bookstore. Forgot how much I enjoyed her other books, especially the trilogy/family scandal that started with No Angel.

Took awhile to get all the characters straight (and I still find myself referencing the "characters listing" at the beginning); while it's set in the late 80s, is definitely still relevant since focus on what happens after a financial disaster. Pretty good so far.
