Fettered and Alien Tails are far better books--they're both amazing! Unforgettable. This one has its moments but no real lasting connection and a significant amount of dull parts alongside superb parts.

Now that the army plot has concluded, the focus has shifted to sexual interaction between V and C. And I don't care. I find myself skimming. There has been no sexual tension between them for so very long that it seems odd now. And definitely no romance. The story is good but there needed to be more interweaving of action and growing relationship closeness.

Hmm, getting dragging. This section is making me skim read, eyes getting kinda glazed. There's no significant furthering of V and C's relationship, no furthering of the "psycho" plot, and a lot of boring talk about minor characters I don't care about.

And Charleston is equally interesting, even though I never get his POV. He's so strong and in control yet I see cracks....

Vinnie is so interesting! He's cocky, mouthy, confident, but so incredibly lacking in self-preservation when faced against his desire to be dominated and surprised. And I think his confident front hides a deep inner shame and loathing because he too glibly talks about his own stupidity.

My stars, that was quite a creative introduction! I loved the masturbation action scene (but it was a bit heavy on the slightly confusing backstory). The second scene fills me with announce at the immature, selfish MC who poorly handles his love of fear and thrills. But that's what character growth is for, right? And bare feet at a leatherbar? Yikes.

I'm looking forward to this book--I got a bang from all Gala's previous novels that I've read.

This book is too good to put down. I'm Totally annoyed I have to go to sleep.
