I am so confused. What’s going on and why is everyone so angry and unhappy?

Now I remember - I meant to reread, This Alien Shore, because CS Friedman finally wrote a follow up - This Alien Night. Not sure how my wires got crossed.

At any rate, those two novels await me when I finish this one.

I'm now 95% sure that I did read this before (probably around the time it was released in 2001). It is quite enjoyable, however, and much better than anything that passes for science fiction these days, so I'm going to continue with my (re)reading of The Wilding.

I read In Conquest Born so long ago that all I remember is that I read it between 10-25 years ago. I remember liking it. I remember reading other C.S. Friedman novels and enjoying them as well.

I only recently learned that she had written a follow-up to In Conquest Born (although this was written in 2001). At least I think that’s the case. Maybe I have read this before?
