bangin. but the part 1 was done so well and then in part two there were so many interesting introductions (style choices and thematic shift) captivating !! but the last part of part 2...... like laying it on a bit thick..... with the found family and all. just started part 3, roisin feels a bit disconnected but bc harder to read a journal as an audiobook

writing style that takes a couple chapters to get in but then becomes SO evocative and paints a beautiful picture. vivid and real characters, so touching, their relationship is so cute and wholesome and i love them and it doesn't shy away from any topic and great writing. love the characters (although i feel like they're hit or miss bc poppy truly is that Quirky Girl You Can't Help Love. but i agree with the

150 pages left and I don’t think I can finish this. The plot is a wreck. Very obviously making it up as she goes along. Why even make them vampires when almost no vampire things happen?!
