I just learned that the account of the woman in Luke's gospel Who anointed Jesus feet with costly perfume is not the same woman as in the other three gospels. That was Mary of Bethany, sister of Martha and Lazarus. Everybody knows that. What I failed to notice after years of studying Scripture is that the woman in Luke's gospel was a sinful woman and the house belonged to one of the Sadducees.

I love how the writer creates modern stories to retell each woman's life changing encounter with Jesus.

Good stuff

Jesus came to liberate and set women free----a freedom that has not been duplicated in any other world religion.

God loves turning things around. While the tree in the garden brought forth death and the curse, the tree at Calvary bought life and blessings.
