Status Updates From The Girl Who Chased the Moon

I think she's a teenager....the young lady who opened up the story. She's just come to her grandfather's home, evidently staying with him for a time. Something happened with her mother that she doesn't know but others seem to.

Drawing so far. I'm still trying to figure it out. Engaging details. I'm starting to understand, but there is still so much hanging.

‘I’m homesick all the time. I just don’t know where the home is. There is this promise of happiness out there. I know it. I even feel it sometimes. But it’s like chasing the moon - just when I think I have it, it disappears into the horizon. I grieve and try to move on, but then the damn thing comes back the next night, giving me hope of catching it all over again.’

‘ Your peers when you are a teenager will always be the keepers of your embarrassments and regret. It was one of life’s great injustices, that you can move on and be accomplished and happy, but the moment you see someone from high school you immediately become the person you were then, not the person you are now.’
