This is not a book you read. It is something you study, something you swim in and totally immerse yourself in. It is the "bible" of chess openings. Chances of finishing with this book are slim.

This is an ongoing read as it is a book of hundreds of chess openings and variations on such. I play the games in the footnotes for each opening I run across while playing. So, an ongoing thing.
