Status Updates From Soldier Daddy

It is so important that we pray as often as Aaron and Sarah do. The moment they start to feel any emotion, they think a phrase we read in italics as a prayer. God is ALWAYS watching your mind and heart. Remember that, and you can keep from ever having to think for yourself and avoid straying from the Path.

It is admirable how much Aaron watches Sarah when she is not aware of him, and yet he thinks only about the pure warmth of companionship as a concept, and about how motherly she is, a heaven-sent vessel for the emotional needs of him and his beautiful boys. If he saw her as a person with needs and interests and fears of her own, it could distract him from God, country, and family!

I'm so glad Sarah told Aaron about someone stealing her CDs: "Mostly modern worship, Christian rock, or songs with a positive message. So maybe the person who took them will have a change of heart." I hope Newsboys were in there! "God's Not Dead (Like a Lion)" would lead anyone to the Lord!

God has blessed Aaron with so many strong, powerful, prayerful men in his life! I don't understand why Refuge needs 3 active AF pararescue teams to train their teachers on water rescue and run a family fun center with a wind tunnel in it, but I'm happy to see more of these godly men in this setting!

I am happy that the main character USAF Chief Master Sergeant Aaron Petrowski seems to be putting God and family first. I do not like that the series calls airmen "soldiers", however. As the daughter of a proud Air Force veteran and the sister-in-law to a heroic Marine I wonder of Cheryl really did talk to those AF servicemen at all, because this is not respectful. But I am excited to see where this goes!
