I recently picked up this book while browsing the library. I read an insert from the book and said, “it wouldn’t hurt to read more.”
But after doing more research into the author and the storyline, I’m not sure about it anymore. Anytime a white person makes a book about African American characters, it feels wrong. I think I’m being too nice by feel obligated to read and give this book a chance but we’ll.
