The call for Islamic state, is the establishment of Islamic law (sharia), but most the Islamist, who seek to design the "new" Islamic state – do not call for this resumption.

What they did was "democratizing" dan "constitutionalizing" sharia – fusing it into the liberal constitutional democracy.
