Over the coming weeks I'm going to read a number of ancient Greek works, but rather than read randomly as I have before, I am going to try and read in 'order', or as close as I can manage it. I studied Homer for a year, so consider him 'finished' and then I moved to Sappho and Aeschylus... But Hesiod comes before both of them. Luckily, he doesn't take long. (Oh and Aesop should be thrown in too, if I'm backtracking.)

Wrapped up the Theogony. There are some interesting details here and there but as a whole it really drags. The information is obviously organized for an audience that knows most of these stories already, so it was a mistake on my part to try to use this to develop a broad understanding of mythological context for Greek epics.
