My husband read these books years ago and told me that I would enjoy them so; here I go.

Not getting into it for some reason

Ich habe die letzten Tage Baldacci und Coben parallel gelesen. Da wirkt dieses Buch sprachlich im Vergleich wie ein eloquentes Kleinod. Ohne diesen Vergleich würde ich es mal als gute Unterhaltung bezeichnen.

Slow start but a fantastic finish. Looking forward to book 2

I just can’t get into this book. I rarely give up but this time I’m going to.

Story shows its age with too many explanations of the obvious. The novel constantly reminds the reader of additional stories lay ahead.

“Lucky smiled at Alex and said in a very coy tone, “Well, I have to admit, this young man did show me his piece, Kate. I bet you haven’t had the pleasure yet.”

“On the way out Reuben got three scones from the attractive young lady in black. “I’m Reuben,” he said, towering over her and holding in his belly. “Good for you,” she said curtly before hurrying off.”

Rereading a great series.

First read through was a physical book. This second read through is an audiobook. Listening with my mom.

So far so good, fast paced action and intrigue

It’s going to take a while as this is a loooong book!

There's an old lady in this book that had me cackling. C A C K L I N G.

They included music at the beginning and end of each section and I will never get used to it.

So far it’s very cheesy. And the main characters have some questionable opinions. Also, you can definitely tell that all the female characters were written by men. Something about each and every single one of these characters feels fake and off putting. And not in a way that can be justified by the plot of the book. It feels like crap writing.
