This is actually exactly what was looking for. The “why” and potential “how” of calculus. It’s set in a make believe world, so it teaches calculus through a story and problems the characters face. It’s still some hard stuff to grasp, but it’s nice knowing how the characters grasped it themselves. Makes me respect the mathematicians who actually discovered things like this. I can’t even comprehend it.
