Point of View: The point of view in my story is first person since the we can hear only the narorators thoughts (Joey Pigza). For example on page 91 we hear Joey Pigza thoughts which is "But I wouldn't tell him because I could hear the screeching sounds of his radio inside the cab..." In conclusion the point of view is first person since we can here Joey Pigza's thoughts.

Protagonist: The protagonist is a 12 year old kid who has some issues. The story follows his school year and the events that happen. For example he is known for his bad timing for stuff especially jokes in the last paragraph in page 66 he says "'But my shoe doesn't fit anymore so they can have it for their pie'" despite being in a trouble for what he did prior. In conclusion the protagonist has bead timing.

Setting: The setting of the story near Pittsburgh. We learn this at the end of chapter 9 page,88 from the following, "...And the Polish-American club, where my grandmother said my dad spent some of his time 'bouncing around' before he went to Pittsburg." I'm presuming the time of story is prior to COVID in about 2014 due to how things work in the book and the rules set up(in the book).

I think the books genre is a realistic fiction. I think this since the book is about a kid with ADHD and the challenges he face; The 'challenges' he face are very real for example he tries to stay in his seat but struggles. Joey also struggles to fit in swallowing a key trying to be cool, leading to the name of the book. These are the reasons I think the book is realistic fiction.

The story starts with us being introduced to a kid who lives with his grandma, and sadly he isn't very ordinary kid which isn't positive. One random day Joey is introduced to his mom who randomly appeared at his grandama's doorstep. She does better than Joey's grandma helping him take meds. But the meds don't always work and Joey (trying to preform a stunt) accidentally swallows a key!
