reading poetry is a very slow process for me because i feel the need to chew before swallowing what i read. as opposed to fiction, where i sometimes feel like everything has to be inhaled before i'm left behind

love her poetry so far <333 getting through this slowly, but pace isn't something i worry about so much when i read the genre. i feel like the only way to read poetry is leisurely and in intervals. it's always a lot to digest

just read “friends with the moon” and it's my favorite poem so far. women make such great poets. book charms me over and over
