Gonna have to DNF this one… This might be my first time abandoning a book, but Kaleigh says life is too short to read bad books! Too much going on, too many irrelevant details and characters, the main character’s name is Gertrude and she has a million strange nicknames, and it just reads like a super cheesy mystery. Can’t do it!

I am enjoying the characters so far. I love Goldy and Jack.

I’m already enjoying the characters. I love Goldy and Jack. I love a good father-daughter duo, even if the father is a godfather. It’s nice to have someone unconditionally cheer on the main character.

I'm glad that Victor Lane was taken down. But... I was really hoping for him to get sucker punched at some point.

If Goldy doesn't start standing up for herself around Victor Lane, I'm going to get really pissed off at this book.

Goldy is going to run out of close friends and relatives at this rate. Seems like every book she loses someone close to her.

I hope Victor Lane follows the Jerk's lead at some point. Here's hoping his the victim in the next book!
