Status Updates From Call in the Night

Other than questions about the MC's motivations, this is a surprisingly well-written book so far. I don't know why I'm having trouble getting through it.

Enjoying this so far. It's an easy read with interesting characters and mystery, although it seems strange that the mc is enjoying the scenic tour around Paris with the guy who saw her missing sister last, when she was worried enough about her sister to drop everything and fly halfway across the world to find out what happened to her.

"I had fallen into the habit of keeping an unopened bottle of gin in the apartment ever since the time several months ago when I had been in the embarrassing position of being unable to offer a date anything stronger than ginger ale, and habits, unlike male escorts, are easy to acquire and hard to shake off."
